This memorial was created in the memory of my only child, Rex Daniel Judd who was born in Garfield Heights,Ohio on April 02, 1980 and passed away on September 13, 1999 at the age of 19. I will remember him forever.
My darling son, from the day you were born till the day you died you had to be different. I remember wanting to clean everything, but no labor pains just a backache for about 3 weeks. I know if we hadn't stopped at the doctor's office for pain meds you would have been born on the turnpike. The Doctor said let's go and you arrived 20 minutes later. You had to make an entrance. I can't believe it has been 9 years since I last saw you, since you last said "Don't worry Mom"---"I love you Mom"--"'I'll be back soon". Boy I wish I could hear those words again. I wish I could make that hug last a little bit longer. I just miss you something horrible. That night when I got the call that you were in an accident and that you were taken to St. Elizabeth's I never thought you would leave me. I thought of how I could use this to make you see how careful you have to be when driving. I know you were careful, the police said you were going about 30. No drugs or alcohol were present ( I could have told them that). It was just moisture on the road and you were gone. They wouldn't let me see you or hold you and that made me mad. I'll bet you were watching and laughing as I yelled at everyone, including Father Walker. I really never wanted to be alone, but you left me here. By the way, J.D. is doing OK now. He was in the hospital for quite a while. He was so upset that he wasn't at the funeral. I don't think he was concious when we buried you. I know you are glad he is safe. You two were just like siamese twins attached at the hip, I never saw one without the other. You really should visit J.D. sometime to let him know you are OK. He doesn't know how to do things without you. I've seen him at the cemetary talking to you.Let him know you are Ok on the 13 th. I know he will be there. Someday Danny, I will get to hold you again. Please take care of Pa-pop. Tell him I miss him so much. You two stay together and I will see you soon.
I Love You, Mom
